Could it be that sharing music, or anything positive really from an arts or creative outlet perspective can have a positive effect – effect with an ‘e’ – get on my English language skills – I’ll tell you about metaphors & that next – whether 1 person sees it or engages with it or 20 people do or 100 or whatever

Anyway, food for thought.

I understand in this day & age there is some caution around the use of social media or putting anything out online – but I have to say – if it means something to you or a lot to you then it may connect with someone else too – or an audience.

To be honest, how I get hundreds of people worldwide looking at this site I’ll never know – I very much embrace the non-materislistic side of things.

At present, and long may it continue, I am all about intrinsic motivation.

Rather than extrinsic motivation.

Then again, to some extent on a daily basis, Monday to Friday or whatever you kind have to have some extrinsic motivation to get by day to day, week to week.

2025 eh, you got to be x, y & z. Gotta be this, gotta be that.

Apart from one thing.

Yourself.

So yeah whatever really.

Feels like something is changing though, something is in the air – who would have a website eh – edit this, change that, post this, move this that.

Need to find more space in, or zones or whatever.

Slight despair aside, obviously it is brilliant to share music, new bands, info about events etc.

I very much enjoying doing that.

So, another thing, as I am going with the flow with this post.

It is interesting, and a balancing act in regards to putting stuff out there and yet maintaining a ‘private life’.

I am getting a better balance in that regard these days.

Plus, these days it feels like if you want to get anywhere and/or maintain any ‘success’ that is half of the battle, if not more (75% or something).

As far as I am concerned success these days can be getting through the day or the week – but to keep up the positive vibes – to have an outlet of any sort is positive.

It could be playing Fantasy Premier League (FPL), gaming, or just simply watching your favourite bands on YouTube.

Keeping this flowing, the thing is, the balancing act I am working really hard in striking these days is to be ‘professional’, ‘responsible’ and ‘effective’ and yet creative, expressionistic too.

In a funny sort of way the two can meet half way, perhaps.

Well, to wrap up this curiously self-conscious yet ‘daring’ post – another post in the bag.

Intrinsic motivation – to define it in simple terms is to be motivated by something inside you, like to get better at something

Extrinsic motivation – motivation to win awards, get higher wages or that sort of thing

Well, got to say I am feeling a lot more connected to things & people again in recent weeks.

No one wants to be alone 24/7.

Here is to feeling connected, enjoying the arts etc.

That, or watching YouTube on ya bill with a cup of tea for ages & loving it.
