I am not producing a post, posting on social media or making any transfers in either FPL or SkyFF this weekend (as things stand).
This is partly due to football reasons but also due to psychological reasons, as I feel like I could do with a mental break. A lot of what I do – in my various projects, very much does require a huge amount of focus from a mental capacity – and it can be very demanding (especially from a Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and a ADHD point of view).
I am very conscious that what I do is not working down the mines, and it is a pleasure to be able to have a platform to express myself, to produce content etc.
I very much appreciate being able to do what I do and I am grateful to be able to do it.
I have used this tactic or strategy – no changes in either side for a GW/rolling a transfer – before, and to great avail, and I think it is particularly useful as a way of buying thinking time – partly as this is because I am happy with the team or teams that I currently have in place and it allows me to stay flexible chip strategy wise – taking a step away and being to recharge a bit mentally.
In my experience sometimes not making a transfer can be as effective as actually making a transfer in some gameweeks (as you cannot upset what you already have and it can give you an opportunity to refresh mentally) and it does help when my teams are well set up, or being in a fairly reasonable condition to be able navigate another game week.
It is possible that I will do something before the deadline (11:00 on 04/03/23 and 12:30 for FPL and SkyFF respectively), but I think that I am pretty set on this way of thinking.
Not only do I think this is a useful approach that I am taking to move forward from a football perspective (I do not see an obvious transfer to make/in which that I am able to make with what is at my disposal), but it also enables me to reboot mentally, and ultimately to be in a better frame of mind.
I am confident in terms of having this mindset, as I think that it is a way of making a decision in a calm, composed and rational way.
I have the option of posting something on here, if I were to make changes, but otherwise I am content making this decision.
There are no guarantees in any gameweek, so I am ready to apply this set and forgot approach for GW26 (and for this GW in SkyFF), and like I say I am pleased with where both my sides are at, as I continue to gain momentum, and it very much does allow me to see the woods from the trees (moving forward that is).
