This is absolutely – and I am not holding back here – one of the best videos on YouTube.

As a superb advert for the city, so to speak, and overall it is sheer top quality entertainment.

It means a lot to me on many levels, especially from the perspective of the people who it makes me think of, although as much an anything it is wonderful in how it displays Liverpool’s beautiful sights, locations and authentic vibes.

As this was filmed numerous years ago, some places may have changed in the city.

Some bars may no longer be there, and many brilliant new cafes, pubs and bars are around the city for people to pop into on International Beatleweek – or at any other time of the year – especially with the 2025/26 Premier League season in full swing with many fans visiting Anfield or Everton’s new stadium or any other venue to see women’s or men’s football.

So whether you are a Brighton fan, Newcastle fan or a West Ham fan – whoever you support – you are welcomed in Liverpool.

On the topic of football and talking of superb adverts – it only takes a minute for someone to talk about the red or blue sides of things here – here is one of the best adverts going:-

Liverpool has a special relationship with Spain, Spanish footballers and all things Spain (re Fernando Torres featuring in that video).

Also, Liverpool & Everton both have a history of having a number of players from Spain & South America – as well as from Liverpool, Wales, Scotland, Ireland etc.

Aside from football, or a sports perspective, Liverpool is famous for so many things such as music, the arts, history, museums, poets, singers, actors, comedy, theatre etc.
