This video is the best Oasis documentary out there in my opinion – it is informative, funny & it is some watch!
Interestingly enough, the Manchester band very much did record some of this iconic album – ‘Definitely Maybe’ – in Liverpool.
Huge Beatles influence obviously.
I have been fortunate to enough to have seen Oasis twice – in Liverpool & in Spain – so my glass is very much half full.
I am really happy to see them back – I reckon it’s great seeing people getting to see them perform for the first time.
Plus – it is giving so many people a boost to go see them – and I think in a curious sort of way they are a band for the here & now – or relatable to this present day in the sense people want to go to gigs, have a good time etc – parts of the documentary I especially related to – so yeah I see what you think.
I think the first 30 seconds or so really says a lot – or the first minute or so really.
Whisper it quietly but people are ready to roll back the years like in the 90s, 2000s 2010s etc.
Things don’t stay the same forever, I feel like things are opening up & exciting times are ahead.
Feeling the 90s vibes right now.
I don’t know – whatever.
It is easy to be cynical but sometimes you just got to enjoy things.
You gotta roll the with it.
And to see the buzz around the band’s return – plus it gives me an opportunity to share such a special video.
There is strong language in this video – but it’s rock n roll so we can all crack on eh.
(I don’t think it needs to be taken too seriously!)
Songs that jump out for me or mean the most to me include:-
‘Rock N Roll Star’
‘Live Forever‘
‘Columbia’
