I have been very much considering playing FPL this season (2024/25), especially given the new rules, and I have been working on some drafts.
I reckon there are some really good options about and plenty of value to be had.
I’ll be making a firm decision in the next 3 or 4 days.
Things have changed since I originally stated that I retired from FPL (flippin’ eck, who did I think I was, Shawn Michaels or someone), and most notably the new rules to the game with the introduction of new rules in regard to how many transfers can be used at one time (Sky Sports Fantasy Football-eque in my opinion).
In addition to this, a new chip appears to be have been added to the game and it appears that changes to the bonus points system have been made.
Not only this, I am very much enthused by the new rules, but I also realised how much I get from the game on a few levels and how I thrive off playing fantasy football in any way shape or form.
So, after doing bits during the 2023/24 season, including FPL picks and the ‘SkyFF Half Season Experiment’, I am ready to play FPL again.
With 9 seasons under my belt, including an experimental ‘half season’ a while back, it means that I have lots of experience behind me, and I feel refreshed and rejuvenated to play this fantastic game once again.
Aside from the fact that the aim is always to succeed at the game, I also enjoy finding new ways to play the game and the challenge of going to new levels is one that very much excites me.
Well, after much consideration, I have decided.
I am in.
I am all in.
