Picking Footballers On The Internet – FPL GW30 XI – Organised Chaos (A Bit of A Free Swing Or Experimental XI/Quick Fire/Graphics Partly In Spanish)

It is the weekend, it is time to pick some footballers on the internet (bit experimental this week for the fun of it)

9.Erling Haaland (Manchester City) leads the line as captain with a home fixture – albeit against current league leaders Arsenal – the Norway international is 1st for goals scored for all forwards and xGI in 2023/24 (the fact that Gabriel is officially classed as a doubt is a bit of a factor here, as well as numbers/data/other factors).

Swedish international Alexander Isak (number 14 for Newcastle United) is Newcastle United’s top scorer in all competitions with a home match for a Newcastle United side with good fixtures (on paper) with an ability to score goals (only 3 teams have scored more goals at home in the Premier League in 2023/24).

Darwin Núñez (Liverpool’s number 9) looks to continue his impressive form in all competitions, as a forward with a high ceiling and with a DGW (double gameweek) in gameweek 34.

11.Mohamed Salah now with more minutes in the bank (fitness wise), may see an increase in his minutes after numerous goals/assists in all competitions prior to the international break, the Egypt international is FPL managers’ minds more now given Liverpool’s DGW in DGW34.

Leonard Trossard (19) is helping Arsenal look more fluid, and has argubly bolstered Arteta’s sides attack in recent gameweeks offering a flexible option in a front 3, although his minutes could be challenged by other players in Arsenal’s squad the Belgium international is a potential relatively cheap route into Arsenal’s midfield.

Son Heung-min faces Luton Town at home, and Tottenham have form/fixtures on their side (to an extent), the South Korea international has 20 plus attacking returns in FPL this campaign.

Cole Palmer faces Burnley at home, is on 20 attacking returns (and counting) in FPL and 3 of Chelsea’s next 4 matches in the league are at home.

Conor Bradley could start with Alexander Trent-Arnold still unvailable (by the looks of things), the Northern Ireland international scored for his country during the international break and offers Andy Robertson-esque energy going forward on the right for Liverpool (aprox half a dozen attacking returns or so for Liverpool in all competitions this season).

Destiny Udogie (upside) reads rather well for minutes, makes clever runs in to the penalty area and has an appealing home fixture against Luton Town in GW30 (on paper) as well a number of good home fixtures left this season (xGI Total is 4.50 – top 7 for all defenders – and the Italy international is in double figures for clean sheets/assists/goals combined this season).

Antonee Robinson appears to keep climbing the assists table for defenders, and as a cheap option could deliver as punt against Sheffield United, 5 of Fulham remaining 9 league fixtures are against bottom half teams.

Set and forget goalkeeper Alphonse Areola (saves potential) completes the XI.

Cheap Aldi-esque bench options include Martin Dubravka, Brighton’s Carlos Baleba, Crystal Palace’s Tyrick Mitchell and Aston Villa’s Calum Chambers.

Perhaps some of these picks appeal, or your squad value enables you to upgrade price wise else where, well this is this week’s organised chaos XI.

This post was produced partly through memory and with the use Fantasy Football Scout, FBref, Transfermarkt, official Fantasy Premier League, and a number of Premier League club’s official club websites (to double check the squad numbers).
