Assertive moves are very much in play here, especially with the emphasis on players in the here and now in terms of teams/players in top form with home fixtures (against the bottom six), and with a view on gameweeks coming up (and individual match days).
Arsenal duo Gabriel dos Santos Magalhaes (Passes Tier potential/threat from set pieces as Arsenal are specialists on corners) and Bukayo Saka (in dazzling form to make it worthwhile to spend 11.4m) feature with Arsenal having an overall impressive home record, going in to this gameweek off the back of huge wins against Burnley (0-5) and West Ham United (0-6), and with 3 of their next 4 matches taking place at home.
Kieran Tripper is in double figures for assists this season (as a defender that is too), and while playing for a Newcastle United side that can very much give teams problems as the 4th top scoring team in the league at present, the former Atlético de Madrid player can pick up points through Passes Tier/Tackles Tier (on set pieces too) and could possibly cover a match day soon as Chelsea face Newcastle United on March 11th (MNF).
Ollie Watkins (can score big and is currently is the forward with the most points in Sky Sports Fantasy Football), and with a fixture against an unsettled against a Nottingham Forest defence that tends to concede looks appealing (Aston Villa up there for goals scored at home in the Premier League 2023/24 with 31 goals scored in 12 games at home in the league).
On the other end of the spectrum, Jose Sá appears to be good for starts/minutes (2002 minutes played this season) in a Wolves side that has good fixtures coming up (on paper), and is set to face Sheffield United at home this weekend (Sá does tend to attract Saves Tier).
Manchester City have strong stats away from home in the Premier League this campaign, Pep Guardiola’s side are the 2nd highest scoring team away from home in the league therefore Phil Foden, Rodri and Erling Haaland as captain (1st for goals scored, xG and with numerous braces to his name away from home in 2023/24) are also part of this side for today’s matches.
This post was produced partly through memory and partly with the use of Sky Sports Fantasy Football, FBref, Transfermarkt and official Fantasy Premier League.
