Celebrating Minimalism

Sometimes I think people have more than me, more holidays and more fun.

But then I think.

No.

It’s not necessarily like that, and even if it is, so what quite frankly.

Because I have minimalism.

Less is more.

It’s the little things that add up.

I appreciate these simple pleasures & home comforts more & more, in such a materialistic world.

Besides, I’m grateful for what I have, these materials are keeping me warm.

They’re not just being worn to be expressive.

And, I’m glad that I’m finding my feet again.

I’m finding my independence again.

I’m getting there.

My prospects are plentiful.

And I don’t need the fake sights of afar.

I don’t need waiters waiting on me.

I don’t need lots of cars, watches & houses.

It’s real things that I surround myself with.

It’s challenges that drive me, not money.

It’s adventures that I crave, not money.

It’s finding solutions to problems that I enjoy, not money.

It’s satisfaction that I want, not money.

It’s pleasure that I want, not money.

It’s enjoyment that I want, not money.

These endorphins that have been released did not cost a penny.

But I know it’s the foundations that I have here that have facilitated such a relaxed state of mind.

And that I must keep moving forward.

Because nothing is free in this world.

It’s a trade off.

I’m being resourceful now, but I’ll need more soon.

Because the things that I want are not materials, they are experiences.

And I can’t rely on home comforts forever, as nice as they may be.

I’m reminding myself of what I achieved in the past to get out there once again.

But to keep celebrating minimalism.
