ZONERISM ON TWITTER (WHILE IT’S STILL GOING, DO PEOPLE STILL USE IT, MESIN) / UPDATE / SEMI- SOC (STREAM OF CONSCIOUSNESS, IT GOES FROM WHAT HAPPENED WITH AROUND 80 MINS ON THE CLOCK TO AROUND THE 3PM KICK OFFS)

Looks boss this doesn’t it (visually wise), nevermind self-promotion, I did this for the visuals.

I’m half watching City Brentford here with the commentary off & SLY & THE FAMILY STONE tunes on.

Tune

See what I did there.

The ‘on & off’ antithesis thing there lad.

Anyway, just to say I may do a really quick fire GW16 ‘Review’ not along after GW16 wraps up.

Whether I do or not, I’m glad I’ve posted something for every GW since the start of this 2022/23 (Premier League) season, and I’m be looking to focus on this grubby World Cup (as a football fan) in some capacity.

I’m leaving it very much open (like my mind/my consciousness mate).

I’m looking forward to a break, even though I know it’s literally only picking footballers in two fantasy football games (obviously there’s more to it than that but you know).

It’s not workings down the mines, but it can be pretty draining doing ‘content’ week in, week out (pretty much).

I find finding ways of making it enjoyable like including music in posts or listening to songs before games helps avoid ‘decision fatigue’.

‘Managing’ 2 teams can be tricky too, but very enjoyable.

So to keep it in this ‘fantasy’ world, zone or realm, I’ll say how much I’m getting out of fantasy football (FPL/SKYFF) this season (in particular).

Aside from the green arrows side of things, I think so many positives can come from playing fantasy football when played with perspective.

Not every decision goes absolutely perfectly, you have to be realistic to know that.

But like that psychology saying goes.

Aim for perfection, if not that aim for excellence.

To powerphrase that.

Ah that sounded a bit ‘elitist’ but I find it’s little mantras like that, that help me.

I’ll come up with one less ‘elitist’ now.

Just aim high lad, enjoy it & go with the flow.

Plus, just making sure I enjoy it as much as possible, and having perspective.

Doing my bits of ‘content’ help me too, I like seeing how matches may unfold, tactical battles, seeing different styles of play etc.

Plus, I enjoy the little battles (head to head -esque-), or strategy sides of things.

Yes, I take the game seriously but not too seriously.

I know when to have my game face on & when to take it off.

(What am I writing here, well whatever, it’s flowing).

I feel very stimulated by playing it & keeping on top of statistics (or data, information).

Whatever you want to call it.

I’m leaving it open re what I’m doing re the World Cup, it’s a weird one isn’t it.

Anyway, Brentford 2-1 up now at City.

Footy eh.

If I do sell my soul & watch this World Cup and possibly do ‘some content’, I’ll be looking to have a laugh with it, make it a bit mischievous or try to focus on teams/players I don’t always get to watch.

I’ve watched previous World Cups and they not exactly the most ‘pure’ in terms of ‘off the field’ side of things.

I do like using my knowledge of European & world football too.

But I’ll be looking at sending out positive vibes from a diversity & cultural point of view.

Plus, whilst being my cheeky rebellious humorous self.

It’s a confliction for sure.

I’m very conscious of how ridiculous it all is.

But I try to turn negatives and turn them into positives.

Well, Brentford beat City (1-2).

That’s defo a victory for being sound.
