(F)PL & Sky Sports Fantasy Football GW11 ‘Review’ – With A View To Upcoming GWs – I’ll Get This Out Now – (Pretty Sure The Numbers Are On The Money)

Introduction

You know what, I know this is mainly a fantasy football post, but I am buzzin’ after that win on Sunday.

I’m gradually enjoying football again, the spirit of that match yesterday helped, plus some other things too.

Yes, of course winning helps, and even the arty get in me who sometimes asks myself what is ‘winning’ really knows that was a massive win.

What a match that was.

Not just for the 3 points, not to keep Liverpool’s unbeaten league record at Anfield, not just take Manchester City’s unbeaten record but for feeling joy, soul and intensity around football once more.

I want to say it was not just because Liverpool have not been at their best, but because I have not been in the same place football wise that I was previous seasons, but I am feeing more focused now.

I think last week helped, being able to do less stuff on here, and Liverpool winning a third Champions League group match.

FPL can be frustating at times, and particularly recently, but there are most definitely positives.

Playing the wildcard was a big boost, and enjoyable to do so, and Sky Sports Fantasy Football is a joy to play.

It isn’t to say that I haven’t got things wrong, because I have, the points on the bench show that.

There are a few moves that could have gone better, but there definitely have been transfers that have overall gone very well.

So I’m feel really upbeat now.

Hopefully these (aproximate) numbers are useful, insightful, interesting etc.

Anyway, found it stimulating to explore this data, I do appreciate the eye test too (it is a bit of everything with me).

Solanke’s points were very much a positive – in both of my teams – and I am glad to have him with him having Southampton next (Southampton have conceded in every league match this season).

Bowen has picked up (aproximately) 25 points (4 matches) for me in FPL.

I transferred him in in my Sky Sports Fantasy Football team on Sunday too.

I captained Haaland parly because of ownership, also because of his form, and remarkably that is the first time that the Norwegian international has failed to score in the Premier League since GW2 (GW11 was his first ever blank in FPL).

Kane’s 9 points were perfectly fine, scoring against an Everton side that have conceded in every league away match (5) this season.

Trippier delivered a clean sheet for both of my teams (6 points in FPL, 7 points in Sky Sports Fantasy Football), the former Atletico Madrid player is looking in really good form.

A Few Side Notes

West Ham United face a tough away match against an unbeaten at home Liverpool in GW12, but they are creating a pretty decent amount of chances from an attacking point of view, they have some favourable fixtures (overall) coming up from GW13 onwards.

3 of West Ham United’s next 5 matches are at home (Vs Bournemouth, Vs Crystal Palace & Vs Leicester City).

| 14/10/22 | 20:00 (GMT) | The Brentford Community Stadium  | Brentford 2-0 Brighton |

Brentford Score 2 or More For The First Time Since GW6 & Brighton Await First De Zerbi Win

Brentford score 2 or more for the first time since GW6 but are the league’s 5th highest scoring team (at the time of writing).

Brighton had 21 shots (7 on target) but somehow are unable to score for a second consecutive match.

However, De Zerbi’s side showed bright signs, and have shown what they are capable of after an exciting display at Anfield in GW9.

Teams (FPL & Sky Sports Fantasy Football)

A wildcard played for GW12 onwards (that’s the line), all a bit meh, but Solanke was a big positive.
The real quiz here (mesin), some big returns this GW, and green arrows aplenty.

Notes

I didn’t just play the wildcard for GW11, absolutely not, it was played to overhaul my team/squad and to give it a new look.

I have more ‘options’ now.

6 players are currently in both teams.

I’m trying to make sure there is a link or connection between both sides.

Happy to keep being patient, particularly as it is still October, and I think that I have a ‘base’ to perhaps to ‘go for it’ more now.

I’m glad to be going into GW12 with a full XI.

11 GWs ticked off.
