I’ll start by saying I’m chill. So. Does our mental state affect how we see football matches. Does bias affect it, is there actually any objectify at all & does betting or playing fantasy footy affect how we see matches – some are there at the match, some are watching it in a pub, some are listening to it & some are watching it on TV or whatever – ok that’s my trippy hippy thought of the day.
Anyway, were are. Liverpool won 9-0 yesterday – fuckin’ sound that.
First time we’ve scored 7 or more in a Premer League match * home * for the first time beating Southampton 7-1 in 1999.
We scored 6 at home against Watford in 2016/17.
I know that because I’m on the spectrum – a cool get on the spectrum – makin’ being on the spectrum cool. That & I spent ages looking throughout old footy books & that over the years. So have that Sky Sports – even though I play ya fantasy game – it is boss though to be fair.
I think that’s right anyway – let’s just say it is – we’ve scored 7 or more in the Champions League quite a bit at times over the years. In domestic cups too. Can’t think of a 7 or more at home in the league – maybe there’s been one – but I think stats & facts are about painting a picture in the mind as much as anything.
Salah blanked – in a sense – well obviously he did but all points add up & it’s the mid clean sheet pointed doubled & it’s 6 points & I captained Diaz in Sky FF. 6 points from Raya. Trent in both teams. Haaland hat-trick in FPL. Obviously it can be better but I’ll take the positives.
Mad how weird Fpl is sometimes. Every Tom Dick & Harry seems to have player x, y & z but not always.
Maybe I’ll look it up in a bit.
We scored 7 *** away *** at Palace in 2020/21. I might do more colours & that – to help me with my Dyslexia & other people too. I vary it up.
Soz, just givin’ myself some self love.
City came back from being 0-2 down yet again – I’m used to it now – they did the same at West Ham & at home against Villa – in GW37 & 38 perspectively.
Arsenal remain the only side with a 100% record.
Anyway, it was nice seeing Liverpool win a game of football again – first time since beating Wolves at home in GW38 in 2021/22 – yeah I know it’s GW4 & there was the summer break so I’m takin’ the piss out of stats really. I’ve self compiled stats for years so I’m takin’ the piss out of myself too – so don’t worry & chill.
Wolves Newcastle 0-0. 34 mins. Not a lot’s happening. I’ve got a podcast on. It changes how I watch the game I think. Who says I need the commentary on eh.
I’m quite enjoying it in a weird way. Two teams having a go – instead of teams playing 5 at the back to just get beat anyway or whatever.
Neves banged one in from about 25 yards or so. Ya probably know anyway. Classic Neves goal from distance – I mean ya only get so many goals like that – the stats say but I like football for excitement, beauty & artistry. It’s a system game now. I like seeing some individualistic magic though. A bit of cheekiness. A bit of trickery. A bit of maverickness. You get it sometimes. Let’s have more.
1-0 Wolves. Half time. I’d make a brew but we’ve got no tea bags in mate.
