• Manchester United beat Manchester City (0-2).
• Manchester City concede two or more in a Premier League match for the first time since getting beat at Spurs (2-0) in GW 9.
• Manchester City fail to score in a Premier League match for the first time since doing so against the same opponent in GW 12 – Vs Manchester United 0-0.
• Spurs win a third consecutive Premier League match – Vs Crystal Palace (4-1). [Vs Fulham 0-1] {Vs Burnley 4-0}.
• Kane gets a double figure haul for the first time since GW 17 – Vs Leeds United (3-0).
• Kane scores two goals or more in a Premier League match for the first time since GW 5 – Vs West Ham United (3-3).
• Bale scores a brace in back to back home Premier League matches.
Are Spurs putting the round thing in the rectangular thing a bit more easily and frequently?
8 goals scored in 2 Premier League matches suggests so, albeit it not being many games but it appears the Welshman is rolling back the years, at the moment at least.
Bale playing, offering an extra attacker, (and Lucas Moura) and a quality one at that?
Having an extra attacker can create more space, although some players or teams may not create/get a huge amount of chances but can be clinical.
Is Football A Bit Weird Sometimes?
Spurs were under scrutiny, lost at Brighton, Manchester City, at home to Liverpool (are seemingly better away from home at the moment having won 3 of their previous 4 away matches away in all competitions but look like they are in better shape at the moment.
Manchester United hadn’t won many games prior to beating Manchester City, although are racking up the clean sheets (at the time of writing at least) but scored early, counter attacked well and were clinical, in a derby, and kept their shape well to win 0-2.
Machester United under ‘OGS’ are largley unbeaten against Guardiola’s Manchester City side, although they have won many matches in the ‘big’ games this season, they do have several clean sheets away in recent times – Vs Manchester City (0-2), Chelsea (0-0) & Liverpool (0-0) most notably – as well as ones against other Premier League opposition such as Burnley (0-1) and Southampton (9-0) [at home].
Liverpool lose a 6th consecutive Premier League home match, having not scored in open play, in any of those matches – Vs Fulham (0-1), Chelsea (0-1) Everton (0-2), Manchester City (1-4), Brighton (0-1), Burnley (0-1), having previously been unbeaten at home in the league under Klopp since 2017, Burnley being the first team to do so since Crystal Palace back then.Once again champions have fell off a cliff, only one team has won the Premier League back to back since the days of Ferguson (was previously achieved in 2009) – Manchester City won the league back to back in 2017/18 & 2018/19.
