(Fantasy) Premier League Questions (?)

Are more teams playing 3/5 at the back?

Are intensity levels down?

Is there an advantage to had in fantasy football by looking at players who are fresh, or set piece takers? (Even more so than normal)

Are there less goals being scored recently or are games less exciting?

Are goalkeeper transfers underrated?

Can goalkeepers *occasionally* get us an attacking return or bonus points for saves more than we may think?

Is saving a free transfer (at times) the way forward?

Are attacking defenders an opportunity to gain advantages and a more enjoyable approach in fantasy football now (depending on form and fixtures)

Are some defenders more like midfielders now?

Are numbers 8s ones to look out for more (runs from deep, running on to pull backs, sometimes, tap ins)?

Can we look out for wing backs as options in fantasy football?

Are teams playing with less ‘typical’ strikers, a lot of teams play 4 3 3, 4 2 3 1 or 4 5 1 (not all of them, there are different varients and other formations being played) or playing more false 9s or wide strikers and/or second strikers?

Are clean sheets even more important in fantasy football than in recent seasons given the pandemic and there being no fans?

Can we suffer burnout from fantasy football or football in general or from sport?

Do we need to keep an eye for Xg more?

How important is Xg?

Is Xgc a facfor to consider more often?

Is keeping the ball now well (having a lot of possesion) even more important given how intensity stats are down (or were recently), how the intense, physically demanding and relentless schedule is?

is it harder to flat track bully teams now?

Can listening to games help us? (Ear test)

How many games can we watch normally?

Can we play the game with less fear of missing out?

Can we play the game in a bit more of a fun, adventurous and less template way?

Do we sometimes get blinded by nostalgia picks?

Can we embrace mainly focus on our team(s), control the controlables and care less about the ‘template’?

Can we use game theory more?

Can we look at hedging, block moves or maxismation more (depending the GW)?

Do we go for captains who are highly owned as a form of defence or look to target weak defences (when possible) or possibly captain goalkeepers or defenders or midfielders more often?

Can we take more ‘risks’ with differentials?

Can we embrace the fact form in the Premier League is so up and down and trust the players we back the most (delivered for us best recently) and in back free flowing, progressive attacking teams more as much as individual players?

Can we consider goalkeepers (quality or with less quality) when selecting our teams and choicing captains?

• Can we consider high quality chances more than ‘half chances’?

• Can we look out for subtle trends, such as managers/teams changing formation game to game, players roles changing, where they make runs, what positions they get in to, whether they look sharp or leggy?

• Can we look at teams and/or players who play away from home more, some players are at times more dangerous away on bigger pitchs or against teams leaving space in behind (home or away), some players score especially well away from home in certain types of games or against certain types of teams or formations.

• Are teams getting players behind the ball more now and closing the space for attackers?

• Are teams playing too slowly?

Can we embrace how mad football is, the many variables involved and enjoy it more?
