It is 2021, it appears that modern day society is mad on games, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Infact, it is pretty fascinating, perhaps humans want to engage in games, for fun, social interaction and/or to challenge themselves.

This is the information age, we can soak up so much, learn and embrace being a ‘geek’.

8 million people play FPL, or at least have teams active, this is truly remarkable.

It is a global game, it unites many people on Twitter, and quite frankly, despite some petty arguments on occasion, generally speaking the FPL community is a place that shows how social media can be a socially enhancing place.

It is also a way of expressing the players you rate, your knowlege of the game and/or how recent trends are emerging.

It shows how things like game theory, maths, culture, psychology, planning, using technology and taking in new information can appear trivial but can be applied to other things, that can help us to be effective, thoughtful and productive.

Fresh air, walking and being with people in person is part of being human, and the pandemic means that is proving hard or close to impossible for some.
