▪ Wanted to invest more in defence, given how tight a lot of games are, a considerable amount have 3 goals or less in. Manchester City have the best defence in the Premier League this season, and it it is useful to have the option of set piece taking defenders or ones that are a threat in the air.

▪ AWB is United’s main right back and that it is why I wanted to invest in a player who plays for a top 4 side that wins a lot of football matches and appears to be getting more forward than in the past and his return against Southampton was the first time I got the ‘defender hat-trick’ in FPL (a clean sheet, an assist and a goal) in the same match (got it with Trent in Sky FF last season away at Leicester City).

▪ James Rodriquez scored away from home in the Premier League for the first time in the Premier League this season, that’s why I didn’t start him as his away form isn’t great and can be quiet on the road but I was happy to get the luck of getting him in and he is a player that has magic in his boots and is able to deliver at home (especially).

▪ Also I have him in Sky FF, along with Ziyech, this was an experiment of sorts, but as fantasy football is a game of many variables and possibilities, I wanted to hedge my bets and make sure I’d get points either way providing that one or both played, it many senses you are playing a game of scenarios as much as ‘calling’ things perfectly.
