World Cup 2014/El Mundial 2014: Brazil (Brasil) 4-1 Cameroon (Camerún) & Mexico 3-1 Croatia (Croacia) (Group A/Grupo A)

| Brazil 4-1 Cameroon |

| Neymar (2), Fred, Fernandinho | Matip |

| Mexico 3-1 Croatia |

| Marquez, Guardado, Hernández | Perisic |

Brazil & Mexico progress to the last 16 of the 2014 World Cup.

· Brazil fittingly score the 100th goal of the 2014 World Cup as host nation.

– Neymar scores his second brace of the tournament and becomes the outright top scorer again with 4 goals.

– Cameroon score their first goal of the tournament in their final game of the 2014 World Cup meaning that Iran & Greece are the only nations that have yet to score at this year’s World Cup but both have a game left and a chance to add themselves to the goals fest in Brazil.

– Mexico concede their first goal at the 2014 World Cup but win 3-1 against Croatia who miss out.

· Veteran defender Rafa Marquez is involved in (scored/assisted) in 2/3 Mexico’s goals versus Croatia; the former Barcelona defender scored Mexico’s crucial first goal and assisted Javier Hernandez’s goal via a neat flicked header for him to head in from close range.

· Croatia have scored 21 World Cup goals since 1998.

Croatia go out at the group stages once again having scored in every game (6 in total) and have not reached the knock-out rounds of the World Cup since reaching the semi-finals in France in 1998.
